Words hang in the atmosphere
As I fill my eyes with Yours
Illuminate my life with Yours
Your words wrap around the world
Wrap around my heart
Wrap around each cell composing the fibers of my being
The fibers of this substance
Holding it all together
Heaven and earth will fade, pass away
But Your words remain
Your words are strong
A structure I can grab onto, sink into
When I feel like I am falling, drifting, wasting away
You don’t change
But You’re new every day
Your words are fresh
Like bread from the oven, they sustain
Give meaning, purpose
Hope, light, breath of life
Splashes of color
Embers of fire bursting into flames
Explosions in the sky
Fireworks across the canvas of night
Musical passageways to the other side
Where You fill the fullness of my mind
